This year’s welcome included Study in Estonia brochure “Survival Guide for International Students”, as well as useful information and essential and thoughtful items by Research in Estonia (Estonian Research Council) and Erasmus+ (Estonian Education and Youth Board).

Welcome materials were distributed to all Estonian universities that teach full degree programmes in English (Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Estonian Business School, Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonian Aviation Academy, Tartu Health Care College, Tallinn University, Tallinn University of Technology and University of Tartu).

The goal of the welcome bag is to welcome the international students to Estonia and provide them with necessary tools for making the most out of their experience. They're practical, fun, and show care.

“In our experience providing a welcome bag to new international students is a very effective means of promotion because our goal is not only to attract them here but also to make a deeper connection, so the talented students would want to stay in Estonia after graduation. When students move into a new country and school, the experience can be very overwhelming. Items in the bag help to make the transition easier” said international marketing specialist Triinu Lillepalu.

Study in Estonia is a cooperation initiative that introduces Estonia as a country offering high quality higher education opportunities. All Estonian institutions of higher education, at which it is possible to study in at least one program that is taught fully in English and is internationally recognised, can participate in the programme. The activities of Study in Estonia are coordinated by the Estonian Education and Youth Board.
