CyCon 2016: 'Cyber Power'  Tallinn, Estonia

The 8th International Conference on Cyber Conflict 2016 (CyCon 2016) is an annual NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (NATO CCD COE) event, conducted in technical cooperation with the IEEE Estonia Section. CyCon 2016 will focus on the theme of Cyber Power, CyCon 2016 will ask how the traditional concept of power applies to cyberspace. The issues to be covered include international cooperation, technical challenges and requirements, conflict in cyberspace, legal framework, regulations and standards. Watch the video here.

CyCon is organised by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. Every year, over 500 decision-makers and experts from government, military and industry from all over the world approach the conference’s key theme from legal, technology and strategy perspectives, often in an interdisciplinary manner. The summer school aims to encourage participants to adopt a critical stance in thinking about the role of technologies in providing opportunities for learners and the potential of these opportunities in terms of learning. Mobile Tartu 2016

The aim of the international conference is to discuss theoretical, methodological and empirical aspects of research using mobile data – derived from mobile phone or crowd-sourced social media – and explore practical applications of this data in geography and planning.

Mobile Tartu 2016 proposes also special events:

A special issue(s) in a scientific journal cited in ISI Web of Science is planned to be published. The journal will be selected after receiving papers.
