year PhD student at the University of Tartu School of Law. His thesis focuses
on the application of crime prevention strategies for the purposes of creating
more effective organisational cybersecurity policies. Current research projects
include studying the human element in information security, issues regarding cyber
insurance as well as problems regarding the Routine Activity Theory and its
applicability to organisational cybervictimisation.
In 2016, Kristjan graduated
from the IT Law master’s programme at the University of Tartu. Main research
interests include cyber criminology, the sociology of law and questions of
organisational behaviour within the context of cybersecurity.
